1 Chronicles 20:22-23, 22 "At the moment they began to sing and give praise, the LORD caused the armies of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir to start fighting among themselves. 23 “The armies of Moab and Ammon turned against their allies from Mount Seir and killed every one of them. After they had finished off the army of Seir, they turned on each other."
What makes praise and worship so powerful, isn't just what we say, it's the attitude in which we say it. Worship is a reverent attitude of love that start in the heart. It's the inner feeling of love that causes us to say and display acts of love.
Worship attracts the presence of God. John 4:23, "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him."
One of the keys to evicting the enemy is in to invoke God. The devil gets uncomfortable in God's presence.
When Jesus encountered the man with a legion of demons, they began to cry, "What have we to do with Thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?"
We are strengthen through worship to resist the devil. Worship not only releases the presence of God about us, it releases the power of God within us.
It's hard to walk in fear and doubt when we are in the presence of God. Whenever we are around Him, we become more like Him. 1 John 3:2, "Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is."
The next time you find yourself in the midst of a battle, lift your hands, raise your voice and use the weapon of worship. As you worship, God is working it out and your enemy is confused. I dare you to begin to worship and praise God right now! Tell Him how much you love, adore, and appreciate Him. As you begin to worship Him, in spirit and in truth; just watch your enemies disappear.
Boldly declare today, "My Worship is My Weapon!"
